2012 is shaping up to be a much quieter year for provincial elections than 2011. Only Alberta will be headed to the polls in a provincial election which is scheduled to take place this spring. Nevertheless, municipal elections will take place across the country in 2012. It will have been 4 years since Nunavut last went to the polls, with the next territorial election likely to be held in 2012 or 2013.
